Boston Public Library

Boston Public Library Summer Wedding

Established in 1848, Boston Public Library was the first large municipal library in the United States. Boston Public Library offers one of the most historic and unique event venues in the city. They accommodate a variety of captivating spaces that offers an ideal setting for special events like weddings. We were able to experience the magic that Boston Public Library had to offer through Ashley and Marco’s wedding!

The bride had an arrangement of white and light blush peonies for her bouquet which had depth and texture through the use of multiple lush blooms with a white and blush colorway. She had white freesia and cream spray roses that were placed in her hair that looked stunning with her wedding dress. The groom’s boutonniere had an elegant touch of a single white ranunculus with a rosemary accent that was wrapped in a black satin ribbon. The bridesmaids all held blush roses with infusions of silver-green dusty miller that were wrapped with a silver ribbon to flatter their darker grey dresses. The ceremony for these two love birds where held in one of Boston Public Library‘s beautiful outdoor courtyard with its gorgeous bacchante and infant faun fountain in the middle of it. The space that was in front of the fountain, which was the backdrop for where the vows had taken place, was complimented with traditional white urns that were filled with white hydrangeas, white, cream & champagne roses on each corners of the cascading water fountain. After exchanging their vows, the bride and groom had their first dance.

Inside the library, the reception was held in Bates Hall where the rectangular tables were lined with centerpieces that were ornate mercury glass vessels in different sizes that held arrangements of white hydrangeas, white, cream & champagne roses, white cream spray roses, white lisantuis, olive greens, seeded eucalyptus & dusty miller. The tablescape had depth and texture through the use of multiple vessels, with natural, lush blooms and greens. It looked amazing with the books from the library that the bride handpicked and placed throughout the tables. Congratulations again to Ashley & Marco, it was an exquisite vision to be a part of especially in the heart of Boston! Working in PR, I have managed a number of events in my career. Flou(-e)r stands out for its exceptionalism as a vendor — or, more correctly, partner. I was so very fortunate to work with Gregory and his team, and was equally thrilled by the results. The florals he and his team created for the event were beautiful and exceeded my expectations in every way, literally taking my breath away when I saw the completed room. On top of that, the process in working with Gregory was outstanding from start to finish — professional, fun, creative, detail oriented. If I could give more than five stars here, I would.

A Glamorous Modern Wedding at The Ritz-Carlton

I loved the idea of a black and white city wedding, but wanted a little bit of pop so we added purple and silver accents as well… We had a mix of round and rectangle tables covered in mostly silver linens and silver Chiavari chairs. We decided to have the parents table as well as our sweetheart table stand out with royal purple linens. We had high and low centerpieces with a mix of white flowers including hydrangeas, English Garden, Tibet and Vendella Roses and freesia. Our place card table was basically a deconstructed version of our centerpieces, which I thought turned out unique and gorgeous.

Flou(-e)r was one of our favorite vendors by far! Over the course of 9 months Gregory was there to help us plan our special day. We had multiple meetings and emails making sure my vision would be turned into a reality on our wedding day. Gregory always responded within a day to any questions, concerns or ideas I had. Being a very hands on bride, Gregory went above and beyond and met with us two times in person before the wedding to ensure he met every one of our requests for our big day ( which he did and beyond). He also made mock ups of the centerpieces to ensure they were just what I wanted. The day of the wedding Gregory and his team were able to transform the ballroom into everything I had wanted and more. Our guests were in awe of how beautiful the flowers were and are still talking about them! Flou(-e)r would be my number one recommendation for any bride looking for a florist who will go above and beyond and really transform your ideas into the most magical wedding ever!

Gregory and his team truly went above and beyond to create our dream wedding and exceeded our expectations of what we thought was possible. Planning a wedding from across the country posed many challenges but working with Gregory and his team was effortless and stress free. Gregory listened to our vision and took it to the next level through his creativity and experience with floral design while staying true to our style and the ambiance we envisioned. I was brought to tears when presented with my bridal bouquet and still treasure it today. We celebrated our wedding day at the Upper Deck Tent at OceanCliff in Newport, RI and everyone including the staff at OceanCliff were blown away with what Gregory and his team created in the tent. Hanging from the tent structure they elegantly hung florals, greens and rattan lanterns that highlighted our large main dining table overlooking the water. Table centerpieces and large urns were filled with stunning, lush florals and natural elements were used to tie everything together. It felt like we walked into a page in a wedding magazine. We highly recommend choosing Gregory and his team at Flou(-e)r Specialty Floral Events for your wedding.
