Reason2Give - Winner Announced

Photography byJim and Lisa Engelbrecht www.CreativeSparksimagery.comJay and Ashley of Amesbury, MA got a Valentines Day like no other, Reason2Give selected them to receive a fully planned and paid wedding, provided by the North Shores hottest Wedding Gurus.

Flou(-e)r ‘s founder and head designer Gregory Costa-Saint John, will donate their entire wedding and reception flowers. He also presented Ashley with two-dozen tibet white roses, which were wrapped in curly willow and other greens. “The bouquet represented my thoughts of Jay and Ashley, the white for their pure love fused by the strong but yet flexible willow, depicting their courage to stand strong even in the shadow of adversity ” said Gregory.

Blue and White Provides a Bright Feel for Corporate Event

Recently we had the honor of customizing a Corporate Client Event at the Four Seasons Boston... We took deep blue hydrangeas, white roses, viburnum berries, brunial (silver balls), hypericum, freesia, stock, along with other off white and deep blue flowers. We placed the flowers in a clear glass cube vase with the inside wrapped with curly willow branches, to create the Blue and White Theme, for each table. We used tall glass vases for centerpieces at registration desks and food stations.

Newburyport Chamber of Commerce Wedding Event

We had a wonderful time at the event speaking to all the brides to be, and learning more about what they were looking for from a floral designer.

A great question kept reemerging – “When do I need to engage my floral designer?”

Most brides were confused as some of their wedding dates were as far out as January 2011, and some as soon as December 2009. We believe that you should engage with your floral designer as soon as possible. If they are like us in only accepting one event per day you want to get your date reserved pronto.

As your big day draws near your designer will work with you on floral selection, staging, and management of the floral event. That being said, the other driver to reserving your date as soon as possible is the availability of certain flowers. For example getting hydrangeas in January is going to require a bit of legwork, and the sooner the designer knows s/he can assist in providing you with vital information on your selection, or proposing alternatives. This was a great question and we hope that we were able to provide guidance.
